Is CopoFi a mortgage brokerage or a lender?

CopoFi is a mortgage brokerage, meaning that we have access to lenders that specialise in short let and holiday let mortgages. We will work with you to assess your needs and current situation, then source products that fit with your requirements and circumstances.

Why shouldn’t I just use a regular mortgage broker instead of CopoFi?

A regular mortgage broker will be dealing with residential mortgages, buy to let customers, and a range of insurance services. Here at CopoFi, we pride ourselves in being specialists in holiday let and serviced accommodation finance; this is our niche, with our main focus being to help customers in this market place.

What is the maximum loan amount that we can arrange for you?

We understand that many of our customers’ properties will be in desirable areas within the UK, which could mean high valuations and large loan balances. We have access to lenders that can advance multi million pound loans. The holiday let and serviced accommodation market lenders tend to assess on a case by case basis, so by getting a full understanding of your circumstances, we are able reach out to the lenders that would consider bespoke products that are most appropriate to your needs.

How do I know I am getting the best deal available to me?

Interest rates can vary dependent on individual circumstances in the holiday let market. We endeavour to make sure the product we source for you has your best interests at heart, whether it be a product with the lowest rate or the lowest fees. CopoFi aims to work with you, and our advisors will guide you through the process to make sure we source the best product for your personal needs.

I have property in London and I am constrained by the 90-day rule. Can you find me finance?

The mortgage market is moving quickly, and lenders understand that landlords are looking at alternative ways to manage their portfolio and maximise their yields through short letting. We have access to lenders that will look at properties in London on a case by case basis. Typically, experience in the short let market is necessary and will be assessed based on the valuers’ comments satisfying that the property is managed as a holiday let property.
